Karissa’s exceptional journey in the medical field spans over two decades, starting as a medical assistant at the age of 16 and evolving into a seasoned perioperative nurse with extensive experience. She was a Certified Surgical Technologist and EMT, and her educational path includes an ADN degree in nursing from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles, California, and a BSN degree from Colorado Tech University.

Currently, Karissa is advancing her education by pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner program at American Sentinel College at Post University. Her diverse background includes surgical medical training from UCLA Medical Center, with a particular passion for neurosurgery and a deep fascination with the intricacies of the human brain. She has volunteered her time in Mexico and Shanghai, contributing to surgeries for pediatric patients dealing with cleft lips, palate issues, and Spina Bifida.

As a surgical traveler with experience in over 30 medical facilities across the U.S., Karissa developed a profound interest in plastic cosmetic surgery. This interest led her to specialize as an expert Aesthetic Nurse, attending advanced workshops in aesthetic medicine. She is certified in various procedures, including Botox Injections, Lasers, Facial injections, Pdo Threads, Sclerotherapy, Chemical Peel, IV Infusions, PRF & PRP injections, and Sculptra.

Karissa’s extensive experience in plastic surgery, coupled with her commitment to continuous learning, positions her as a distinguished figure in the field of medical aesthetics.
